Patient Group Direction (PGD)
Patient Group Directions (PGDs) are now centrally organised by the NHS England and Improvement team and the latest versions will be sent to your practice/organisation.
The Medicines Optimisation team at the Integrated Care Board (ICB) have responsibility for:
• Maintaining a PGD database of PGD’s utilised in Lincolnshire
• Storing the final, master signed copies of the PGDs
• Responding to and acting on all PGD submissions that come through the team inbox within 6 months.

The following document for submission is available here: PGD Policy Checklist . Once completed please send to the Medicines Optimisation inbox for the attention of the pharmacist responsible for PGDs.
The following form (Assessment form for proposal of a new PGD) should be completed by the Lincolnshire ICB pharmacist responsible for PGDs and passed to the ICB PGD Development Group for screening. The completed form is then passed to the Lincolnshire ICB Authorisation Group.
