The CRG developed ‘red flag’ guidance to highlight when opioids may pose a serious and/or imminent risk to patient safety.

Consider concurrent opioid and benzodiazepine prescriptions (Benzodiazepines and opioids: reminder of risk of potentially fatal respiratory depression)
